Log in into your Azure subscription, navigate to the Azure Site Recovery vault and download the vault registration key.

After you downloaded the vault registration key, open your favorite browser, type in the address of the Configuration Server and log in into the management portal. The default username is admin and the default password is password.

Then click on Register to an Azure Site Recovery vault and select the downloaded vault registration key. Click on register and you should see a successful registration status.

At this point you can use InMage Scout for your DR scenario and the Configuration Server will communicate with Azure to provide the number of protected VMs for billing. After you click on OK on the registration status you will be forwarded to the dashboard of the management portal.

The first thing you should do is to change the password of the admin account. For that click on Manage Users under SETTINGS.

Click on Edit Account, type in the new password and hit Save. Done!

After you have changed the password try to start the vContinuum console on the vContinuum server. The first start will fail with the message that the vSphere CLI is not installed.

This is a typical failure because you have to run the vContinuum console as an administrator. Right click on the shortcut on your desktop and set the option that it should run always as an administrator.

Start the vContinuum console again. If you are using another regional format other than en-US or en-UK you can change it to en-US, en-UK or ignore the upcoming error message. The vContinuum console opens afterwards and is fully functional.

The next blog post will be about the Windows Master Target Installation.
