Microsoft MVP Award – Microsoft Azure

Today, I received an exciting email that I got the Microsoft MVP award in the category Microsoft Azure.

In total this is my fourth award after being awarded in the category Cloud and Datacenter Management in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Then I joined Microsoft and hence as a Microsoft employee was not eligible anymore for receiving the MVP award.

After nearly three years at Microsoft I decided it is time for the next step. I joined LeanIX in 2019 as a Staff Software Engineer in the Platform Operations team.

During all the time I continued writing blog articles, speaking at local community events and conferences as well publishing code on GitHub and sharing through these engagements my knowledge and experience with the community.

In the end all the hard work during my spare time paid off. Mostly helping people through the engagements mentioned above, but in the end receiving the precious Microsoft MVP award.

And I can tell you that continuing my blog articles and community work is not always as easy as you might think, when having a family.

I am glad to be back in the MVP community and closing this post with quoting the message I tweeted earlier today.

What a fantastic and thrilling feeling. I just received the message that I got awarded with the Microsoft MVP award in the category Microsoft Azure! #MVPbuzz

After being awarded in 2013, 2014 and 2015 in the CDM category, it is still an outstanding acknowledgement!
